Hugh Ellis Roberts, 1901
Today, I remember my great-grandfather, Hugh Ellis Roberts. He was born on 2 July 1884 in Spring Garden, Jefferson County, Illinois. Hugh married Clora Dell Scott on 6 October 1900 in Jefferson County, Illinois.
He died on 30 August 1908 (of consumption) in Ina, Jefferson County, IL, at the age of 24, and was buried at Hammond Cemetery, Sesser, Franklin County Illinois. He left behind four children, twins Harry & Carrie, my grandfather Bert, and a daughter Mabel.
