Photo Friday – Gray, Potter, & Strout.

In the Linwood Dyer Collection, photos of Henry Staples Potter and Arthur E Strout were identified, along with limited information on John Gray and an unidentified individual labeled “Mr. Sawyer.” The collection also includes a photo of “Victoria” in Mexico. Photo Friday – Bakeman, Morse (née Milliken), & Potter

The Linwood Dyer Collection includes photos, documents, and genealogies from Scarborough, South Portland, and Cape Elizabeth, Maine. The collection features a photo of Daniel F. Bakeman, the last Revolutionary War veteran, and Calista Morse with her children, dating back to 1897. Another photo showcases Henry Potter (1799-1876), providing a wealth of information. The identities of the individuals in the photos have been largely confirmed; the Scarborough Historical Society holds the originals. Continue reading
